Wednesday Freebie. Fun Princess party Moments

It's a Princess Party!

Thanks for joining me today.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy planning a princess party and babying my left shoulder.

Having such young children I tend to lift a lot. That being said, I think I tore something in my shoulder! I have been in terrible pain for a week. Luckily  I am doing much better today. It just set me back a bit.

Planning my 4 year old princess party was quite the ordeal! I did have fun getting things ready with my daughter!

Because this was Sadie's first princess party, we had to send out the perfect invitations for her event!

The Invitation

This is a 5 x 7 personalized photo invitation I created using Heritage Collector storybook and princess kit of graphics from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
It took Sadie sitting next to me and 30 minutes and we had it ready to print.

I made the treat bags tags using Heritage Collector Storybook too! It was so much fun to make this really personal to my daughter!

Personal Touches.

I created this in a 5 x 5 size, printed on card stock, folded in the middle then stapled to cellophane bags! I put the thank you on the back as a little thank you card for coming to the party.

I have no idea why this picture is turned! I couldn't get it to upload the right way!! Sorry. I hope you can still get the right idea. These bags turned out so cute!

Instead of a pinata we stuffed balloons with candy and let the kids pop the balloons and get their candy. They loved it and it wasn't near as pricey as a pinata!

Thanks for looking at a little of what happened this past weekend over in my neck of the woods!

Wednesday freebie!

I have to say that Design's by Krista is truly one of my favorite designers! She has such elegant style doesn't she?!

Thanks again for making my blog a part of your busy day! I hope you come back soon!

3D Blog Hop, FREE Online Class, Personalized Job Charts for children

This is the first blog hop that I have ever participated in! I'm thrilled and excited to be a part of this. It will be fun to see all of the neat creative things through your blogs.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoy looking at something I've been working on for quite some time now.

Most of you know I have four very young children two of which are twin boys. Because my home is in constant "happy" caos, I wanted to come up with an idea to help us be more organized and have a positive way to encourage my children to help out.

I made these job charts using Heritage Collector Storybook. Storybook is very easy to use and very inexpensive. One of these charts could be made in under an hour!

If you would like to learn more about our wonderful software you can download our FREE standard version here!  All of the creations you see on my blog were created using Heritage Collector Storybook or Calendar.

What I created is personalized job charts that are pretty enough to be displayed on the wall!

The picture quality isn't the greatest. It is almost impossible to get a good picture of something with glass in it and not getting a terrible glare.

Anyway, you can get the general idea. You use a dry erase marker to write directly on the glass.

What makes this fun is each week you erase, and add new things each week!

My husband is a wonderful finish carpenter so I was able to put an order in for some nice 12 x 12 custom Alder frames. Really finishes the project doesn't it?

Now I just have to figure out where to hang them! That always seems to  be my biggest challenge.

Cellophane Bag Tags

In a few weeks my daughter will be turning four! she is growing up so fast! My oh my the time has just flown by so quickly.
She and I have had a great time discussing what kind of a birthday party she would like.

She finally decided on a princess theme. Once the theme was decided upon we immediately started making the invitations.(as you saw earlier on my blog)

After the invitation was complete my mind was being flooded with fun ideas for decorating and really bringing the princess theme to life.

One fun little detail I thought would be fun and give another personal touch was to do plain clear cellophane bags with a top to match her invitations.

I'm not going to show you the final one until I'm done but I will show you another one I made for a different project to give you an idea just what I'm talking about.

The first thing I did was of course find the perfect kit of digital graphics, import them into Heritage Collector, open up the storybook module and create a 5 x 5 page size.

This was made using Designs by Krista's new kit of graphics"Spring has Sprung".  On sale now for $2.00.
I printed these in sets of two on card stock.

Once they were printed I cut them out, folded them down the middle, then stapled them to a cellophane bag filled with goodies and I had a fun unique gift to give. All done using Heritage Collector!

I have to apologize that this picture isn't the greatest. My printer is about out of ink and my light tent is disabled. So, this is as good as it gets but I think you can get the jest of it!

Yes, the top picture is really how it is supposed to look but I still think it turned out cute anyway! You can do all kinds of neat things with Heritage Collector Storybook!! Make sure to come back so you can take a peak at my daughters birthday bags. They turned out adorable!

Keeping the storytelling going

Even though my life is so crazy busy I still make it a priority to do my family history and storytelling.  This time I decided to focus on my sweet daughter.

This 12 x12 page was done using a kit of graphics from "Trixie Scraps" and of course Heritage Collector Storybook to put the page together.

Each day I am taught new sweet things from my daughter. She is such a little character! One of the things she is really into at the moment is being a little mommy! She loves to help with the twins.

The picture of her in the bottom left is her throwing up some leaves to try and get the babies to smile for the camera. Instead the photographer thought her expression was cuter and caught this cute little moment. These kandid pictures turned out to be some of my most favorites!

Each day I feel so blessed to be a mother. Because of this my passion for doing family history monthly has become a passion and obsession!

Thanks for stopping by. Come back again really soon!

I LOVE to hear from you. If you have suggestions of things you would like to learn how to do using Heritage Collector, please drop me a note!

Does this picture look familiar to you? I know many of us feel completely overwhelmed with even the thought of trying to organize our "stuff". (photos, and multi media)

Let us teach you how you can organize and preserve those precious memories with Heritage Collector.

(and have an enjoyable time while you are organizing!)

I want to share with you a little sneak preview of my latest project. Yes, were having a princess birthday party at my house!

This entire invitation was created using only Heritage Collector Storybook, and graphics from The Sweet Shoppe.

Sadie and I have been discussing for weeks what kind of a birthday she wanted. She finally decided on a princess theme. I was so excited because I knew just how much fun we could have putting it together.

While her brother was at school, Sadie and I had the opportunity to design her birthday invitation together. She is very easy to please! Didn't take much time at all to put this little invite together today.

I will have more fun things to show about her birthday.

I hope you will come back really soon! Thanks for looking. :)
